Small controls – Powerful effect: XCS in the »vacumet« disinfection unit

The German company kasu Entwicklungs & Vertriebs GmbH has launched a highly effective, intelligent system onto the market which disposes of hazardous waste hygienically in hospitals, care homes or childcare facilities.

Tested and certified in compliance with DIN EN ISO 15883-3:2006, the compact vacuum disinfection unit »vacumet« seals and compresses waste contaminated with bacteria, viruses or fungal spores in PE/PA bags. During a special process, the system vacuum-packs and seals contents of bags, effectively stops germs spreading  and reduces the volume of waste.A Schleicher XCS 20 from the space-saving XCx micro series controls the roughly 90-second disinfection process involving a controlled vacuum and sealing procedure. After closing the lid, the program is started using a multilingual, user-friendly, high-performance touchscreen operator terminal, which displays the individual steps in its program. Its incredibly easy user guidance menu fully meets the user‘s or care staff‘s requirements and guarantees optimum operating safety.
